Payroll Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Officer to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the provision of quality and consistent payroll services to our employees.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide information and assistance to staff through various correspondence channels.
  • Accurately maintain personnel records.
  • Produce accurate payroll reports.
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of fortnightly pay runs, including checking timesheets within required deadlines.
  • Prepare, process, and report on workers compensation claims, including reviewing and reconciling reimbursement schedules.
  • Process employee terminations, providing certificates of service when necessary.
  • Contribute positively to teamwork and collaborate effectively to achieve outcomes.
  • Provide support across various teams as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in payroll or 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • High proficiency in payroll data entry, with experience working in high transaction volume environments.
  • Demonstrated competence with payroll systems and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Experience with multiple awards and enterprise agreements.
  • Proficiency in using Preceda payroll software or equivalent system.
  • Experience with Emplive or equivalent time & attendance system.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of education, health, disability, or aged care sectors.
