
Compensation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Officer to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the provision of quality and consistent payroll services to our employees.

- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide information and assistance to staff through various correspondence channels.
- Accurately maintain personnel records.
- Produce accurate payroll reports.
- Assist in the preparation and processing of fortnightly pay runs, including checking timesheets within required deadlines.
- Prepare, process, and report on workers compensation claims, including reviewing and reconciling reimbursement schedules.
- Process employee terminations, providing certificates of service when necessary.
- Contribute positively to teamwork and collaborate effectively to achieve outcomes.
- Provide support across various teams as required.
Requirements:
- Qualifications in payroll or 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- High proficiency in payroll data entry, with experience working in high transaction volume environments.
- Demonstrated competence with payroll systems and processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Experience with multiple awards and enterprise agreements.
- Proficiency in using Preceda payroll software or equivalent system.
- Experience with Emplive or equivalent time & attendance system.
- Demonstrated knowledge of education, health, disability, or aged care sectors.
