Commercial Insights Manager

We're looking for a talented Commercial Insights Manager to join our team at TPG Telecom. In this role, you'll work with various stakeholders to harness Vodafone's customer data and identify commercial growth opportunities. Your work will have a direct impact on shaping the future of TPG customers and will help shape key commercial business decisions and activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong database/technical skills, be naturally analytical, and curious about data. They'll demonstrate a passion to turn analysis into actionable insights and apply logical and structured thinking to new problems and ambiguity.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and interpret large, complex datasets to reveal trends and correlations
  • Work with key stakeholders to gather the right insights about competitor and market behaviour
  • Examine customer behaviour using internal datasets
  • Drive the development of machine learning techniques to model customer behaviour and preferences
  • Use historic data and relevant statistical frameworks to forecast key trends and predict future events
  • Continue to build out and update industry knowledge on data analytics and leverage it into daily work
  • Support more junior members in the team and coach them if necessary, around data interrogation or analysis
  • Investigate the performance of current products and translate insights into specific improvement suggestions/new feature proposals
  • Assist your manager to drive the right revenue forecasts for the company

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience in solving large analytical problems using statistical, predictive analytical models, or other quantitative methods
  • Demonstrated experience in handling large datasets, understanding data structures, and testing for data quality
  • Fluency in SQL database interrogation with solid programming skills (e.g. Python) and script writing
  • Good team working attitude with the ability to work proactively under own initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to advise and manage your projects autonomously
  • This position is suited to someone with a strong data background and an interest in commercial
