Job Description:

Our organisation is seeking a motivated and innovative individual to join our employment supports team on a casual basis. This position will assist participants in achieving their employment goals and social inclusion under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The primary focus will be on building capacity towards employment through one-to-one servicing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish professional relationships with participants at various stages of their employment journey.
  • Provide a positive and supportive environment for individuals with disabilities to reach their employment goals.
  • Create individual support plans and 12-week plans outlining participants' journeys towards finding and sustaining employment.
  • Seek opportunities that enable individuals to reach their full potential as valued community members, aligned with NDIS goals, including work experience activities.
  • Facilitate individual and group activities using enabling styles such as job readiness skills, volunteering/work experience, and confidence building.
  • Ensure efficiency and compliance with administrative processes according to organisational policies, procedures, legislative requirements, and guidelines from the National Disability Insurance Agency.
  • Maintain data integrity and efficiently manage workload by prioritising tasks and ensuring all work is completed within designated time frames.

About You:

We are looking for an individual who can deliver quality person-centred support, bringing passion for assisting individuals with disabilities on their individual employment journey. To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • The ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated.
  • Proactivity, showing initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Resilience and patience, with the ability to work with complex behaviours.
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate – or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
  • A reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide vocational support to participants with disabilities, enabling them to build capacity and work towards meeting their employment goals.
  • Experience in facilitating individual and group educational activities.
  • High-level customer service skills, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
