The role of Head of Innovation Delivery is critical to driving SPC's growth through product innovation and market expansion. The successful candidate will lead and optimise the innovation pipeline, focusing on accessible market opportunities that reinforce SPC's positioning in the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of innovation by leading cross-functional teams and leveraging SPC's established trust and collaborative environment.
  • Develop and deliver the Innovation Governance Process, including all the steps involved from ideation to innovation delivery and post-launch review.
  • Own the entire innovation process, from ideation to market, ensuring that the pipeline remains strong, relevant, and financially viable.
  • Drive the new product development (NPD) process, applying the stage-gate model to streamline and control project timelines, costs, and product quality.
  • Commit to safe work procedures and lead safe work behaviours, demonstrating and supporting SPC's values and behaviours within the work environment.
  • Use data and consumer insights to identify and target growth opportunities within existing and new categories, with a focus on aligning SPC's products with evolving consumer needs and market trends.
  • Focus on understanding and responding to market trends and consumer needs, with a specific emphasis on functional foods, notably SPC Provital.
  • Engage with existing grocery partners and expand relationships with distribution channels like BidFood, particularly in healthcare and aged care facilities.

About You:

  • Have extensive experience in FMCG product, category, and governance innovation.
  • Possess a proven track record of successful innovation projects, inclusive of processes, policies, tools.
  • Exhibit strategic vision and analytical skills, balancing consumer insights with market trends and SPC's strategic goals.
  • Demonstrate innovation leadership, having led cross-functional teams and fostered a culture of trust.
  • Show technical expertise in NPD and stage-gate processes, with a keen eye for efficient process improvement and commercialisation strategies.
  • Demonstrate accountability and adaptability, thriving in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 per annum
