
First Nations Engagement Professional

We are seeking an experienced professional to play a pivotal role in integrating cultural perspectives and contributing to the health, safety, and well-being of Indigenous individuals. This position will involve developing and implementing comprehensive stakeholder and community engagement strategies, addressing concerns, co-designing solutions, and raising awareness about workers' compensation.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of First Nations issues and experience in community engagement or advocacy. They will be able to draw on their lived experience to develop and implement effective solutions that meet the needs of Indigenous communities.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive stakeholder and community engagement strategy to build trust and partnerships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and leaders.
- Acting as a liaison between the organization and Indigenous stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, consultation, and collaboration on relevant initiatives, programs, and policies.
- Organising and facilitating community meetings, workshops, and events to gather feedback, address concerns, and co-design solutions that promote the health, safety, and well-being of Indigenous people.
- Designing, developing, and delivering creative and culturally sensitive engagement activities to raise awareness about workers' compensation, benefits, and resources available to Indigenous individuals and communities.
- Collaborating with internal teams to integrate Indigenous perspectives, knowledge, and practices into business processes, policies, and initiatives.
- Developing and maintaining partnerships with Indigenous service providers, agencies, and community organisations to enhance the accessibility and effectiveness of our services for Indigenous individuals and families.
This is a full-time 12 month contract role based in Brisbane City. The organisation has a flexible work policy which supports a balanced and accommodating work environment for all staff.
