Leader of Residential Care

Optimising the delivery of quality aged care services is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced professional.

The Leader of Residential Care will be responsible for fostering a culture that promotes excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in residential care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a customer-focused approach to ensure timely completion of all quality initiatives.
  • Monitor and improve impact on clinical standards across the home from day-to-day reporting.
  • Provide resident-centric care that meets evolving needs while maintaining high clinical and compliance standards.
  • Maintain quality systems across all areas within the home to a high standard.
  • Ensure regular audits, reports, and analyses of data are completed in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to maintain compliance with Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency standards.
  • Achieve accreditation status of the home at Site Audits.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the relevant authority.
  • Previous experience in Aged Care / Health Care is advantageous.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain solid working relationships.
  • Display initiative and look out for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • High level of commitment, integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness.
  • Above average knowledge and understanding of the aged care sector.
  • An effective listener with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritise, delegate, and manage delegation to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Sound operational knowledge of computerised systems and ability to learn new systems.
  • Understanding of and ability to manage human resource issues.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt.
