Job Description

The After Hours Nurse Manager will oversee the management of a vibrant and skilled team of nurses and midwives to achieve exceptional health outcomes for vulnerable communities in NSW.

This position requires effective service delivery, culture and service improvements, sustainable access and collaboration in healthcare.

  • Working in a smaller rural health facility provides autonomy and opportunities to enhance skills and progress careers.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Current Nursing registration with AHPRA
  • Appropriate qualifications in management from Post Graduate to tertiary level (Masters) with five years full time equivalent post qualification experience in the relevant field
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation, and the ability to motivate and manage staff to achieve service and professional goals through recognised change management processes
  • Broad clinical experience and operational management expertise at a senior level within a healthcare environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of the role, function and funding of public hospitals within the Australian and NSW Health Systems
  • Current driver's license
