Industrial Paramedic Role

We are seeking an Industrial Paramedic to provide emergency response, first aid treatment, occupational health and wellness services on a 24/7 basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to onsite medical emergencies, including trauma, cardiac issues and psychological disorders. They will also coordinate transport from emergency scenes, conduct drug and alcohol screenings and blood testing, administer medication and immunizations, and assess, treat, report and manage work and non-work-related injuries and illnesses.

The Industrial Paramedic will develop professional relationships with onsite clinical teams, management, workers and other medical service providers. They will maintain all required certification standards, including annual ALS reaccreditation, and follow established protocols and processes, maintaining accurate medical records in accordance with privacy regulations and workplace safety laws.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • University degree in Paramedicine or Paramedical Science with a minimum of 3 years ambulance, industrial or mine site experience OR Diploma in Applied Science (Ambulance Studies) from a recognized institution with at least 3 years hands-on operational experience.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Competence in all aspects of onsite emergency response, including Breathing Apparatus, Fire Suppression, Hazmat, Rope Rescue, Vehicle Extrication, Confined Space Rescue and Road Crash Rescue.
  • Accreditation in Drug and Alcohol Testing and Blood Testing is desirable.
  • Experience working onsite in construction, mining or heavy industry is preferred.
