Aviation Rescue Fire Fighter

Job Summary:

As a member of our emergency response team, you will be stationed at one of our 27 airport fire stations dedicated to aerodrome emergencies. Your responsibilities range from responding to aircraft incidents to maintenance of trucks and the fire station.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to aircraft incidents, fires, and other airport emergencies.
  • Maintain trucks and the fire station in a state of readiness.
  • Provide first aid and fire safety advice.
  • Be prepared to respond to diverse challenges.

Requirements:

  • Australian/New Zealand Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident.
  • Completed Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (Year 10/12).
  • Current, unrestricted driver's license (with the ability to obtain a heavy rigid license).
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 or HTLAID014).
  • Physically and mentally fit (must pass a physical aptitude test with a beep test score of 9.1 and aviation medical assessment).
