Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough clinical assessments to diagnose and treat patients with complex mental health conditions.
- Develop personalized care plans tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in mental health nursing through ongoing professional development.
- A seasoned community mental health nurse with extensive experience in crisis intervention, assessment and treatment of adults and seniors with complex mental disorders.
- Knowledge of adult and senior mental health service delivery systems.
- Ability to apply National Standards for Mental Health Services at an organisational level and in clinical practice.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Capacity to initiate and manage interventions under the Mental Health Act 2014.
- Clinical leadership skills including provision of clinical supervision, line management and performance development.
As a Mental Health Specialist in Triage, you will be responsible for responding to all contacts made to the Pilbara Mental Health and Drug Service (Eastern Region), identifying the nature and appropriateness of referrals, setting priorities for management and coordinating emergency responses within the region.
