Mental Health Crisis Specialist

  • Pursue a challenging role as a Community Mental Health Nurse with expert level skills in crisis intervention, assessment, treatment and case management of adults and seniors with complex mental disorders.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Adult and Senior Mental Health service delivery systems.
  • Apply the National Standards for Mental Health Services at the organisational level and in clinical practice.
  • Work effectively and efficiently in a multidisciplinary team and work independently.
  • Manage interventions under the Mental Health Act 2014.
  • Provide clinical leadership with skills in providing clinical supervision, line management and performance development.

The role involves responding to contacts made to the Pilbara Mental Health and Drug Service (Eastern Region), identifying referrals, setting priorities, collating information and coordinating emergency responses. Liaise with government and non-government providers to coordinate Mental Health Services and provide educational support.

A motivated and experienced applicant will be passionate about working with diverse communities to improve health outcomes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
