Senior Resource Development Geologist

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Resource Development Geologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in geological modeling, sampling techniques, and reserve estimation.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced geologist to lead our drilling programs, supervise drilling contractors, and compile brownfields and resource targets.

  1. Lead the compilation of brownfields and resource targets to fuel the project pipeline and advance projects through to the Resource modelling team.
  2. Liaise closely with the Resource modelling team to ensure collection of appropriate data required for robust resource models: geometallurgy, geotechnical, drill density, modelling of lithology, faults, lodes/mineralisation.
  3. Perform geological mapping (including historical pit mapping) and geochemical sampling programs for target generation and definition as required.
  4. Critically review and continuously improve brownfields and resource development targets and targeting techniques (geophysics, structural geology, geochemistry).
  5. Contribute as required to the identification of exploration targets and planning of exploration programs.
  6. Working closely with the Exploration function, allocate resources (people, equipment) as required together to ensure coverage to execute plan.
  7. Collaborate with the mine geology site teams, to harness deposit knowledge, and share geology knowledge to drive the discovery of new mines.
  8. Geologically log drill chips and diamond drill core.
  9. Produce all required technical plans and sections to an industry best-practice standard.
  10. Regularly report on program status via daily reports, weekly and monthly reporting.
  11. Provide input into project reviews, resource modelling and budgeting.
About You

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Tertiary qualified Geologist with recent and relevant regional exploration experience (ideally 7+ years post graduate).
  • General geological experience including geological modeling, sampling techniques and reserve and resource estimation.
  • Drill supervision experience.
  • Able to work collaboratively across various site and Perth-based teams.
