The Nutrition Department at Dandenong Hospital is a large, integrated team that delivers patient-centred, effective, and evidence-based care.

We are seeking an experienced Nutrition Professional to join our team on a full-time basis, based at Dandenong Hospital with travel between health sites.

In this role, you will provide nutrition services within Adult Inpatient services and clinics, aiming to improve patient outcomes and facilitate discharge. You will contribute to the Nutrition Department and multidisciplinary teams by:

  • Providing best practice clinical care
  • Sharing knowledge and participating in teaching and supervision of students
  • Mentoring and/or supervision
  • Participating in research and quality project activities
  • Administrative responsibilities as delegated

To succeed in this role, you will bring demonstrated skills, experience, and knowledge, including:

  • Experience in acute dietetics and enteral nutrition
  • Clinical reasoning and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent group facilitation skills
  • Confident communication
  • Demonstrated accountability while working autonomously

The mandatory requirements for this role include:

  • Dietitians Australia accredited dietetics degree or hold a Dietitians Australia mutually recognised dietetics degree from New Zealand or have passed the Dietitians Dietetic Skills Recognition (DSR) process
  • Eligibility for membership of Dietitians Australia
  • Eligibility for Accredited Practising APD Program
  • Current Driver’s Licence
