Airline Ticketing Specialist Role

Our team is seeking an experienced Airline Ticketing Specialist to provide expert guidance on fares, ticketing, and reissues.

You will work closely with a national team, handling queries from travel agents regarding interpreting airline fare rules, fare guidance, and options. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing accurate and competitive fare quotes and options.
  • Issuing all types of airline tickets and Electronic Miscellaneous Documents (EMDs).
  • Interpreting Airline Fare Rules and their ticketing processes.
  • Responding to phone calls and emails from travel agent customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Liaising with airline representatives and internal account managers to resolve fares and ticketing issues.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Hold Fares & Ticketing I and II certifications.
  • Have at least one Global Distribution System (GDS) certification.
  • Demonstrate high competency in fares and ticketing, with the ability to quickly and accurately decipher fare rules.
  • Possess sound knowledge of GDS systems, including Travelport, Sabre, and Amadeus.
  • Be able to work well under pressure while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Exhibit good problem-solving, analytical, and numerical skills.

This role requires flexibility, as you may need to travel interstate and overseas to provide support and advice to parts of the world outside your time zone.
