About the Role:

  • We are seeking a Chief Data Governance Officer to lead the development and execution of data management strategies, establishing and embedding frameworks, processes, and policies.
  • The successful candidate will partner with stakeholders to drive data governance program development and implementation, integrating best practice approaches and guidance for data risk assessment and controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data management strategies aligned with Macquarie's Group Data Strategy
  • Establish and maintain frameworks, processes, and policies for data governance and management
  • Partner with stakeholders to drive data governance program development and implementation
  • Integrate best practice approaches and guidance for data risk assessment and controls
  • Ensure uniformity in data governance and management practices across the Financial Management Group

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in data management, data governance, risk or consulting within the financial services or markets sector
  • Tertiary degree in a related discipline, with the ability to problem solve and ensure alignment with our data strategy
  • People leadership experience, managing effective and engaged teams
  • Outstanding communication capabilities, with a track record of effectively engaging and influencing stakeholders
  • A curious and challenging mindset, with a track record of complex framework implementation
