Job Summary

This role is accountable for cultivating existing accounts, scouting new opportunities and large-scale infrastructure outsourcing deals. The successful candidate will collaborate with advisors, technical teams and client interfaces to develop solutions and drive the large deal process forward.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate existing accounts and establish new relationships.
  • Pursue large infrastructure outsourcing deals in targeted new markets and existing customer bases.
  • Lead the large deal process by engaging with customers, advisors, vertical teams, partners and delivery teams.
  • Develop technical solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Create value and differentiate solutions in response to infrastructure RFPs and proactive pursuits.
  • Provide technical guidance to customers on Cloud and Infrastructure services solutions.
  • Deliver client presentations, due diligence and transition activities in new infrastructure engagements.
  • Translate business and system requirements into technical solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing direction and guidance to technical teams working on solution elements of a pursuit.
  • Assemble resources and skills to develop technical proposals.
  • Support opportunity qualification and risk assessment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 15-18 years' experience in infrastructure management, operations or technology consulting, with a minimum of 10 years' experience as a Cloud and Infrastructure sales professional in areas such as datacentre technologies, converged technologies and cloud, voice and data networks, end user technologies, ITSM tools and public cloud.
  • Prior experience of leading large deals and working with sourcing advisors like ISG, KPMG, ITNewcom etc. is essential.
  • The individual must be a subject matter expert in one or more infrastructure disciplines, such as networking, datacentre design, storage, etc.
  • A background in a position of CTO, Director or higher in infrastructure management/operations or infrastructure engineering, or lead a solutions/delivery team for an infrastructure service provider would be advantageous.
  • The candidate should demonstrate an in-depth understanding of various infrastructure technologies and be able to articulate the key tenets of various technology options.
  • Excellent project management practices and a thorough understanding of the infrastructure/datacentre outsourcing industry are required.
  • Detailed knowledge of clients' infrastructure business processes and ability to relate to the client from a domain/technology perspective are essential.
