Cloud and Infrastructure Specialist Role

As a Cloud and Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for cultivating existing client relationships, discovering new opportunities, and overseeing large-scale infrastructure outsourcing deals. You will collaborate closely with vertical engagement managers to proactively pursue targeted accounts for major projects and work with the CIS delivery team to ensure optimal customer solutions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Fostering growth of existing client accounts and introducing new ones.
  • Identifying and pursuing large infrastructure outsourcing deals in targeted new accounts and existing clients.
  • Leading the execution of large-scale deals by engaging with customers, advisors, vertical teams, partners, and CIS delivery.
  • Overseeing the development of technical solutions.
  • Creating value-added solutions for customers in response to infrastructure RFIs/RFPs and proactive pursuits.
  • Serving as a technical advisor for customers, representing cloud and infrastructure services solutions.
  • Delivering client presentations, due diligence, and transition activities in new infrastructure engagements (as required).
  • Translating business and system needs into technical system solutions.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert, providing direction and guidance to technical teams working on various solution elements of a pursuit.
  • Coordinating all necessary resources/skills to develop technical proposals.
  • Aiding in opportunity qualification and risk assessment.
Experience Requirements:
  • A minimum of 15-18 years' experience in infrastructure management, operations, or technology consulting.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience as a cloud and infrastructure sales person in one of the following areas: datacentre technologies, converged technologies, and cloud; voice and data networks; end-user technologies; ITSM tools; and public cloud.
  • Prior experience leading large-scale deals and working with sourcing advisors like ISG, KPMG, IT Newcom, etc.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more infrastructure disciplines (e.g., networking, datacentre design, storage, etc.).
  • Ideal experience includes holding a position of CTO, director, or higher in infrastructure management/operations or infrastructure engineering or leading a solutions/delivery team for an infrastructure service provider.
  • Thorough understanding of various infrastructure technologies and ability to articulate the key tenets of various technology options.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure project management practices.
  • Deep understanding of the infrastructure/datacentre outsourcing industry, landscape, key issues, and strategies of major technology players.
  • Extensive knowledge of clients' infrastructure business processes and ability to relate to the client from a domain/technology perspective.
