Job Title: HSE & Compliance Manager

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our compliance department, ensuring seamless service and support to site operations departments.

  • Provide strategic planning and leadership to the Compliance Department, encompassing Health, Safety, Training, Environment, Biodiversity, Community, Property, Project Development and Approvals.
  • Maintain an effective site centralised Compliance Management System containing all Compliance-related standards, procedures and legal requirements.
  • Develop and implement risk management and training systems, guaranteeing organisational efficiency through cross-functional support structure integration.
  • Manage internal and external compliance verification processes, monitoring industry and legal developments to ensure timely operational changes.
  • Foster collaborative relations with senior leadership teams, peer groups, and stakeholders to champion project development and drive business outcomes.

About You:

  • Minimum fifteen years of mining operational experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications in one or more compliance-related field(s).
  • Tertiary qualification in mining, engineering, or related discipline preferred.
  • N NSW statutory mining qualifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of NSW Coal Mines Compliance requirements.
  • Experience interacting with various NSW Government Regulatory Institutions.
