Job Profile Summary

The Co-Chief Operations Officer will be responsible for managing the Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, and Investment Operations activities for a Country Branch. This role will provide leadership and guidance to subordinate managers, overseeing the deployment of GFS vision, business strategy, and organizational direction. The successful candidate will be accountable for the performance and results of the Country GFS Operations unit, executing business plans and contributing to the development of functional strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work with GFS leadership to support the implementation and communication of clearly defined expectations, business targets, and growth strategies in the location.
  2. Oversee the deployment of GFS vision, business strategy, and organizational direction in relation to Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, and Investment Operations activities.
  3. Plan and direct the activities of the Country GFS Operations unit towards achievement of business objectives.
  4. Support the governance framework for the Country GFS Operations unit, ensuring effective governance and oversight.
  5. Provide leadership and relevant governing bodies with appropriate MI for the country GFS Operations unit and accountabilities.
  6. Implement a framework to enable direct and matrix reports to use resources effectively and manage performance through the performance management process.
  7. Oversee service delivery to Custody clients contracted to NT entities and serviced from the country.
  8. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain knowledge of material corporate and local legislation and regulations relevant to the role and responsibilities.
  9. Assume responsibility for staffing resources within the Country GFS Operations unit, including managing capital and expense budgets and improving efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, with experience in managing teams and leading operational or strategic management initiatives. They will possess excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to articulate and develop an argument in an environment of assertive executive directors. A well-developed management and leadership style, coaching and counselling skills, and effective communication skills are essential for this role.
