Chief Quality Officer

Are you a seasoned quality professional looking to shape the future of biotech manufacturing? Our client, a pioneering leader in viral vector manufacturing, is seeking a visionary Chief Quality Officer (CQO) to join their Executive Leadership Team.

About the Role:

As the Chief Quality Officer (CQO), you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and play a pivotal role in establishing and leading the Quality function. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, recruiting and developing the Quality team, and continuously enhancing the Quality Management System to ensure the facility meets all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enterprise-Wide Quality Leadership: Develop and implement the Site Quality Plan and Quality function objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with c GLP/c GMP and all relevant regulatory standards.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a team of Quality professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, ensuring your team remains engaged and motivated.
  • Customer-Centric Focus: Act as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and customers on quality and compliance issues.
  • Manage customer audits and ensure successful outcomes.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in a related science or business discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of industry experience in a quality-regulated biotech, cell and gene therapy or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience with a proven track record of leadership and problem-solving.
  • Extensive knowledge of TGA, OGTR, and international regulatory requirements (Gx P).
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
