About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Operations Officer to lead our Global Fund Services team in Sydney/Melbourne. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, and Investment Operations activities for our Country Branch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability in the region.
  • Oversee the deployment of our global vision and business strategy in relation to Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, and Investment Operations activities.
  • Lead a team of managers to achieve business objectives and ensure effective governance and oversight.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leaders on the performance of the Country GFS Operations unit.
  • Collaborate with HR to develop and implement training and development programs for direct and matrix reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Manage staffing resources, including budgeting and liaison with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of business strategy development and implementation.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to articulate and develop an argument in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to negotiate with senior leaders and drive financial performance.
  • Post-qualification experience in increasingly senior roles, with a strong track record of achievement.
