About the Role

We're seeking aspiring Rail Apprentices for our Overhead Wiring discipline to join our team and kick-start their career with Australia's leading rail contractor.

As a key member of our team, you'll learn from expert tradespersons and gain practical on-the-job experience while receiving extensive training and a Certificate III in the relevant discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining traction overhead wiring systems
  • Installing and maintaining distribution overhead conductors and cables
  • Inspecting overhead poles, structures, and electrical apparatus
  • Working safely in a great team environment

Working Conditions

  • Based out of the Seven Hills workshop
  • Workshop and site-based work throughout the apprenticeship and career
  • Must be flexible to work different shifts depending on the project's requirements

About You

  • A genuine passion for the Rail industry and a willingness to learn
  • An ability to undertake manual/physical work
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Ability to follow instruction and work effectively in a team

Selection Process

The selection process will include:

  • Psychometric, Literacy, and Numeracy assessments
  • Reference checks
  • Pre-employment Medicals including Drug and Alcohol screening
