Senior Railway Structures Project Manager

The role of Senior Railway Structures Project Manager involves overseeing technical and engineering aspects of railway structure maintenance, supporting maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, budget, and performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support design lifecycle activities for railway structure assets to align with AEO and UGLRL Design Management plans.
- Prioritise structure renewals, design scope, and coordination with delivery partners.
- Lead interface between MPM Program, internal structure maintenance team, and 3rd-party stakeholders (ARTC, councils).
- Plan and schedule structures enabling works, possessions coordination, and manage suppliers as required to meet UGLRL AEO obligations.
- Manage configuration change submissions to the CCB and gate reviews with stakeholders.
- Oversee execution of engineering, procurement, and construction activities, adopting appropriate construction methods.
- Monitor construction progress for adherence to program, contractual arrangements, and delivery milestones.
- Analyse and use document and record management, progress, and project performance reporting, and compliance reporting.
- Utilise project planning skills to plan work, monitor implementation, and effectiveness to achieve outcomes.
- Read and understand plans, review design documentation, read drawings, and provide constructive review and implementing of final designs.
- Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.
About the Role:
This senior project management position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or Building Construction, or equivalent industry experience, along with Chartered Engineering Status and a minimum 5-8 years of railway structures engineering experience in a similar role.
