Role Overview

Job Title: Graduate Developmental Educator

Location: Sydney

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (Minimum 4 days per week)

Salary: $83,582 - $100,342 Includes Annual Leave Loading and Superannuation

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Developmental Educator to join our interdisciplinary team at Everyday Independence. As a Developmental Educator, you will work with people with disabilities, their families, and support teams to provide person-centered support and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial assessments using evidence-based tools to identify participant needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to enhance participants' capacity for independence.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless support delivery.
  • Provide coaching and training to support teams to build their capacity and confidence.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and updates to ensure plans are effective and adaptable.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor or Master's degree in Disability or a related field.
  • Be eligible to be a member of the Disability Employment Advocacy Institute (DEAI).
  • Have a strong understanding of the social model of therapy and its application in practice.
  • Be able to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children's Check.
