About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our expanding private practice in Newcastle, providing clinical services to children with varying needs.

This position requires excellent time management skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team. Experience in Paediatric OT and/or working with children is desirable but not essential.

The selected candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating children from 2 years to 18 years, with a caseload including children with Sensory Processing Disorders, ADHD, ASD, learning difficulties, motor coordination challenges, and other developmental, learning, and behavioural difficulties.

Full and part-time options are available, including Telehealth. Salary will be set dependent on level of experience, estimated at $80,000 - $120,000 per annum.

Job Description

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and treating children with various developmental needs
  • Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting progress
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Professional membership/registration with OT Australia and/or AHPRA
  • Current working with children check
  • Current First Aid Certification
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional education
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
