Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Mining Engineer to join our team in Queensland's Bowen Basin. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality mining engineering services and support to our Truck and Shovel fleet, overseeing up to 5 Truck operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leveraging experience of haulage and dump designs to optimize haulage and deliver achievable mine plans.
  • Using knowledge in mine scheduling software to communicate mine plans and schedules to the production team.
  • Collaborating with the planning team to ensure that production processes are optimized to continuously increase operational efficiency.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years post-graduate experience gained in an open cut environment.
  • Desirable experience in short to medium-term design, planning, and/or scheduling within an open cut operation.
  • Truck & Shovel experience.
