Mining Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join our team in a dynamic coal mine. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering best practice mining engineering services and support to our Truck and Shovel fleet, managing up to 5 Truck fleets.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Deliver best practice mining engineering services and support to the production team
    • Manage up to 5 Truck fleets and ensure efficient haulage operations
    • Leverage experience of haulage and dump designs as well as knowledge in mine scheduling software to optimise haulage and deliver achievable mine plans

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related field
  • At least 3 years post-graduate experience gained in an open cut environment
  • Short to medium term design, planning, and/or scheduling experience within an open cut operation
  • Truck & Shovelexperience and ability to understand functionality of business systems
