The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electronics Production Specialist - Electrical, with a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience, preferably in advanced manufacturing within the aerospace or automotive industry. The role is responsible for the production, maintenance, and repair of aircraft components and systems. This position involves two primary areas of responsibility:

1. Supporting the integration of products and kits into aircraft, performing product servicing, arranging maintenance and spares, and providing technical support and training to customers and end users.

2. Performing production assembly and quality inspection operations of components and equipment, including functional testing or validation as required.

You will be part of a growing production team, working alongside some of the most advanced engineering manufacturing technology in the industry.

Position Duties
  • Read and interpret digital drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports.
  • Use appropriate tooling and practices to fabricate wiring harnesses, including termination and assembly in accordance with wiring diagrams or schematics.
  • Perform manual assembly during small-scale production of electronic devices used in avionic systems and medical equipment.
  • Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings.
  • Populate or modify/replace components on printed circuit board assemblies.
  • Perform customer support activities, including service orders, integration commissioning, testing, ground tests, and flight tests.
  • Complete functional testing, quality assurance inspections, defect diagnosis, and rectification.
  • Adhere to required organisational approvals, including CAR 30 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) exposition.
  • Apply advanced trade knowledge and experience to perform production assembly process operations to a high standard on complex parts with limited supervision using tools in accordance with production process data.
  • Engage closely with Engineering and Production teams on First of Type assembly processes, capturing required assembly information to inform the evolution of production processes.
  • Understand and interpret production process data, such as Parts Manufacturing Information (PMI), Assembly work instructions, Commercial Specifications, and Tools.
  • Report issues and defects relating to production operations, including detailed supporting information, and follow non-conformity processes, including rework order process operations when required.
  • Maintain accurate records and traceability of production process operations, including inputs and outputs.
  • Perform verification process operations on input parts and assemblies using company and industry-standard testing tools and approaches.
  • Perform required quality processes, including checking and maintaining calibrated tools and equipment used in electrical assembly work centre operations.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience, preferably in advanced manufacturing within the aerospace or automotive industry.
  • Proven experience performing manual assembly of electronic devices.
Estimated Salary

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
