Balancing technical problem-solving with strategic leadership, the Warranty Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring warranty obligations and commercial targets are achieved.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead warranty management processes to drive reliability and availability milestones.
- Mentor a team of direct reports to deliver project goals and foster a culture of excellence.
- Oversee steady-state commercial contract management for compliance, risk mitigation, and cost-effective outcomes that drive business growth.
- Promote UGL's interests in customer-facing interactions, building strong relationships and resolving issues proactively.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, ensuring the company's success.
- Drive influence in problem-solving and product development through root cause analysis and sustainable solutions that add value.
About You
- Proven experience in the rolling stock industry, specifically in warranty, maintenance, or operational support roles.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring team members to achieve their full potential.
- Expertise in customer-facing roles, including account and supplier management, where you can leverage your communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience in risk assessment, mitigation, and execution of commercial contracts, ensuring that the company's interests are protected.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related technical field (preferred) or equivalent industry experience, which demonstrates your commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
