Contract Management Role

This position involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of contracts, from creation to execution and finalization. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and reviewing agreements, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance with legal standards.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of contractual records, including correspondence, proposed changes, warranties, delays, extensions of time, and other contract management functions.
  • Establish and maintain up-to-date frameworks for reporting on the commercial status of contracts to all interested parties.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and corporate lawyers to ensure seamless contract administration.
  • Monitor and review subcontracts to report on contract performance, including customer satisfaction.
  • Identify, negotiate, facilitate, report, and close out contract variations in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all contractual obligations are met in a timely, accurate, effective, and compliant manner.
  • Administer contracts to guarantee that all activities, responsibilities, and obligations are fulfilled as per the agreement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven knowledge of contracts, joint ventures, consortium agreements, financing contracts, legal terminology, and Australian and NSW legislative requirements applicable to the rail industry, including environmental regulations.
  • Experience in safety-critical environments such as rail, automotive, military, defense, aviation is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to read and comprehend contract terms and conditions, legislation, technical specifications, laws, and codes related to contract management.
