
Vice President of Warranty Operations

The Warranty Manager will be responsible for ensuring reliability and availability milestones are met by leading warranty management processes. This includes technical problem-solving with strategic leadership to achieve commercial targets. The successful candidate will have two direct reports and mentor them to ensure successful delivery of project and team goals.
Key Responsibilities include leading warranty management processes, supporting and developing a team of direct reports, overseeing steady-state commercial contract management, representing the organization in customer-facing interactions, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams, driving influence in problem-solving and product development, and utilizing ERP systems to monitor warranty claims.
About You: To thrive in this role, you will have proven experience in the rolling stock industry, specifically in warranty, maintenance, or operational support. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring team members are essential. Expertise in customer-facing roles, including account and supplier management, is required. Additionally, experience in risk assessment, mitigation, and execution of commercial contracts is necessary. Proficiency with ERP systems is also a must-have skill. Strong leadership and motivational skills to foster collaboration and team success are crucial. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities that influence positive outcomes are key requirements.
Education: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related technical field (preferred) or equivalent industry experience are desired. Take ownership of a high-profile role with direct leadership responsibility. Lead a skilled and driven team to achieve outcomes and grow professionally. Influence technical and commercial strategies to deliver long-term solutions. Be challenged with complex projects that grow your expertise in leadership, warranty, and risk management.
