Automation Specialist Job Description

This role involves designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions that improve productivity.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and design tailored automation solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automated systems, including PLCs, motion control, and robotics.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and technical presentations to showcase automation capabilities.
  • Lead commissioning, troubleshooting, and post-sales support to ensure seamless automation operations.
  • Collaborate with vendors to source and integrate optimal components for automation projects.
  • Create technical resources and document projects to facilitate knowledge sharing and future use.
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience in controls engineering from concept to commissioning.
  • Strong PLC programming skills, preferably with Bosch Rexroth and Codesys (Siemens experience is transferable).
  • Knowledge of motion control, robotics, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and stakeholders.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the designated territory (up to 50%).
