We are seeking a highly experienced Automation Strategy Lead to join our team and help shape the future of factory automation solutions. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise in robotics, CNC machining, systems integration, and motion control with business acumen to drive adoption and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:- Define and execute product strategy for advanced automation and robotics solutions, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business growth objectives.
- Analyze CNC machining operations on the factory floor to uncover process bottlenecks and recommend automation-driven improvements.
- Partner with engineering, software, and systems integrators to design and deliver solutions that integrate robotics, motion control, tool management, workholding, and digital automation platforms.
- Drive adoption of lights-out manufacturing strategies, enabling customers to run high-precision operations unattended with confidence.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear value propositions for executives and shop floor stakeholders alike.
- Develop go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and sales enablement tools that highlight process improvements, cost savings, and throughput gains.
- Act as a subject matter expert in factory automation, robotic integration, and CNC process optimization, providing insights to customers and internal teams.
- Monitor product performance, profitability, and adoption metrics, adjusting roadmaps to maximize market success.
- 7+ years of experience in product management, technical sales, or solutions leadership within factory automation, robotics, CNC equipment, or industrial systems integration.
- Strong knowledge of automation technologies, including robotics, motion control, pick-and-place systems, machine tending, and lights-out automation.
- Proven ability to analyze machine shop floor operations and identify opportunities for automation that enhance productivity and quality.
- Solid understanding of materials, tooling, workholding, and machining processes in modern manufacturing.
- Experience collaborating with systems integrators and overseeing integrated automation projects that combine machines, controls, and software.
- Demonstrated success in building ROI-based business cases and selling the value proposition of automation.
- Familiarity with software-enabled automation platforms, digital manufacturing tools, and Industry 4.0 concepts is strongly preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills across technical and commercial teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field; MBA or advanced business training is a plus.
