About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated Controls Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to join their growing automation team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of control systems—from PLC programming to system commissioning—while learning from seasoned engineers in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. What You'll Be Doing
  • Assist in developing and configuring PLC-based control systems for industrial machinery and automation equipment
  • Program and debug PLCs (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens) with guidance from senior engineers
  • Design and update HMI interfaces for operator control and system monitoring
  • Support system testing, start up, and field commissioning activities
  • Contribute to documentation, wiring diagrams, and compliance with relevant safety standards
What We're Looking For
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in controls or automation engineering
  • Familiar with PLC programming languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, etc.)
  • Exposure to HMI or SCADA platforms (e.g., FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Ignition)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and panel layouts
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset and willingness to learn
  • Open to occasional travel for commissioning and customer support
Bonus Skills
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens automation platforms
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, etc.)
  • Exposure to motion control, robotics, or machine integration
