About the Position
The HR Partner role was introduced in 2020 to support parishes in establishing healthy and effective workplaces that reflect their Christ-centred ethos.

  • Collaborating with regional bishops to ensure sound workplace practices are adopted and implemented across our parishes.
  • Developing a profound understanding of ordained and lay workers within the Sydney Anglican parish context.
  • Providing strategic and operational HR guidance to parish leadership teams.
  • Promoting and driving strategic HR initiatives to foster and strengthen workplace relationships in parishes.
  • Addressing systemic issues impacting the effective functioning of parishes.

About You
Successful applicants will possess extensive HR experience, delivering high-quality support and developing a deep understanding of ordained and lay ministry in the Sydney Anglican parish context.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Proven HR generalist experience, preferably in a not-for-profit or faith-based context.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
