Senior HR Advisor - Anglican Church

This is a unique opportunity to combine your professional HR expertise with your Christian faith and contribute to the growth of local church communities.

About the Role
  • Work closely with regional bishops to ensure effective workplace practices are understood and followed in parishes.
  • Develop a deep understanding of ordained and lay workers within the Sydney Anglican parish context.
  • Provide strategic and operational HR support to parish leadership teams.
  • Develop and drive strategic HR initiatives to address and strengthen healthy workplace relationships in parishes.
  • Proactively address systemic issues impacting parish effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in Human Resources, preferably in a not-for-profit or faith-based context.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience/knowledge of the Sydney Anglican Diocese structure and operations is an advantage.
