TBM Mechanical Supervisor Role Summary

The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of leading contractors to design and construct Snowy 2.0, one of the world's largest pumped hydro schemes.

This project will deliver a significant infrastructure development in the Snowy Mountains region of NSW, requiring a highly skilled TBM Mechanical Supervisor to ensure its successful execution.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily mechanical operations, maintenance, and repairs of the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) and associated equipment.
  • Plan and coordinate future mechanical works, ensuring optimal resource allocation and efficiency.
  • Develop detailed specifications for production, determining materials, equipment, and workflow requirements.
  • Liaise with the Mechanical Manager to oversee the assembly, installation, commissioning, and testing of TBM, conveyor, and gantry crane equipment.
  • Conduct regular plant inspections, record maintenance activities, and submit reports as required.
  • Collaborate with the TBM Electrical team to plan ongoing and future works.
  • Supervise and support Mechanics on shift, providing troubleshooting assistance and guidance for preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure Method Statements and Risk Assessments are in place for all mechanical works.
  • Audit the plant to maintain optimum performance, adhering to Australian Standards.
