We are seeking a skilled and experienced High Voltage Substation engineer to lead our team in the design and delivery of substation projects. As a senior member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of substation layout designs, clearance studies, and earthing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers in designing distribution and transmission systems.
- Oversee the development of substation layout designs, clearance studies, and earthing systems.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring quality deliverables, timely execution, and budget adherence.
- Effective management of resources and project allocation.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders, representing the company as a trusted technical advisor.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in HV Primary Electrical Engineering, with a focus on substation design.
- Leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop a technical team.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD.
- Excellent project management and client relationship skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian standards and industry best practices (National Electricity Rules, AEMO Guidelines and Safety in Design).
- Current CPEng and NER registrations.
