Job Opportunity: Empowering Women in Nepal

This is an entry-level position for a volunteer teacher at the Chetana Mahila Secondary School in Kathmandu, Nepal. The school provides education to women who have migrated from rural areas and have little to no formal education.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Teach adult women of various age groups and learning capacities, using flexible teaching methods such as course books or conversational techniques.
  • Design lessons that cater to the students' needs, whether it's English language skills or other subjects like mathematics, science, and personal development.
  • Contribute to raising education standards in Nepal, where the adult literacy rate is 67%.

You will typically teach four to five lessons each day, with the flexibility to incorporate creative activities like sports, games, and interactive experiences. This approach helps students gain practical knowledge and skills, building confidence in their everyday lives.
