Empower Women in Nepal through Education

This international volunteer project aims to empower women who have migrated to Kathmandu from rural areas to work as domestic helpers.

The goal of the project is to provide education to both younger and older women who missed out on schooling earlier in life.

By teaching essential skills, building confidence, and broadening their horizons, volunteers will play a crucial role in empowering these women to participate more fully in their families, communities, and the broader world.


Responsibilities:
  • Teach Adult Women: Help women in Kathmandu improve their English and other essential subjects like math, science, and personal development.
  • Flexible Teaching Methods: Use course books or conversational techniques, while also incorporating creative activities like sports and games to enhance the learning experience.
  • Broader Impact: Improve literacy and life skills, contributing to raising education standards in Nepal, where the adult literacy rate is 67%.
  • Engaging Learning Environment: Teach 4-5 lessons daily and bring your own unique ideas to motivate and inspire students, with plenty of support from local staff.
