Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Role Overview:

  • Address and respond to guest repair requests promptly.
  • Engage with guests to resolve maintenance concerns effectively.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
  • Perform visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Manage and transport necessary equipment and tools.
  • Identify and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utilities.
  • Oversee maintenance inventory and order parts and supplies as required.
  • Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using established protocols.
  • Acquire and apply knowledge in areas such as HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor repairs, and ensure thorough cleanup of work areas.
  • Test and troubleshoot various equipment and perform basic repairs on plumbing and electrical components.
  • Program televisions and assist with general housekeeping and inventory tasks.
  • Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system prior to performing maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain both interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
  • Exhibit basic computer skills for scheduling and temperature adjustments.
  • Adhere to all safety and security policies, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly.
  • Ensure a professional appearance and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipating their service needs.
  • Uphold quality standards and foster positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
  • Perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Navigate stairs, ramps, and ladders as necessary.
  • Reach, bend, and perform various physical movements as required.
  • Access work-related information using computer systems.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.
