About the Role:

Quantum Science and Technology Opportunities

We invite you to join our pioneering research project, Narrowband quantum emitters in hBN with optically addressable spin, as a Research Associate. This role offers an exciting chance to contribute to cutting-edge research in quantum science.

In this position, you will engineer and characterise new quantum emitters, perform spin and sensing measurements, and advance automation and reproducibility in deterministic spin-photon interfaces and electric field sensing.

You will also evaluate novel spin defects against existing platforms while contributing to student supervision and experimental design. This opportunity is ideal for early career researchers looking to build expertise at the forefront of quantum science.


Requirements and Qualifications
  • PhD in Physics or Engineering
  • Experience in Experimental Quantum Science, including confocal microscopy and cryogenic spectroscopy
  • Track Record of Peer-Reviewed Publications
  • Proven Ability to Conduct High-Quality Research


Benefits and Remuneration

This position offers a competitive remuneration package, including:

  • Base Salary Range: $94,152 - $114,672 pa (Level A)
  • 17% Superannuation
