Senior Scientist Job Opportunity

Q-CTRL is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our team in the field of quantum sensing. This exciting opportunity will allow you to utilize your expertise in experimental physics, quantum control, and sensor operation to drive innovation and advancement in the quantum technology industry.

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD (or equivalent experience) in physics, engineering, or a related discipline, with a strong background in experimental techniques such as atom interferometry, cold atomic systems, and warm atomic vapours. A track record of technical leadership and experience in sensor operation, automation, and data fusion are also essential for this role.

The successful candidate will work closely with our experimental physicists, quantum control engineers, and sensor hardware specialists to implement quantum control protocols on real quantum sensor hardware. They will also be responsible for assisting with the development, operation, and analysis of next-generation atom interferometer-based quantum sensors to achieve maximum sensitivity and robustness for various applications.

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the planning and delivery of technical goals and milestones within program frameworks. You will also collaborate with colleagues across multiple divisions to share insights and best practices in control-augmented quantum sensing.
