Flight Technical Officer Role

At Qantas, we're seeking a highly skilled Flight Technical Officer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our flight operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the suite of flight operations manuals and ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and maintain software platforms for flight operations, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Provide technical support for the introduction of new aircraft and equipment, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Administer Flight Planning systems, processes, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Airbus Flight Operations Document Manager software.
  • Experience in technical writing, document management, or desktop publishing.
  • Technically proficient with the MS Office suite, particularly MS Word.
  • Experience in an operational area within the airline industry.
  • Ability to read and understand Company Manuals.
  • Sound analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Aviation desirable.
