About the Role

The Flight Technical Operations Leader is responsible for overseeing and conducting technical activities to support the safe and efficient operation of the Virgin Australia Regional Airlines fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct airport inductions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Analyze payload data and assess routes to optimize aircraft performance
  • Support the Aircraft Performance Analyst in generating and maintaining aircraft performance data, NOTAM watch, navigation databases, and Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) program
Requirements
  • Previous experience in performance, EFB, and project management (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of aircraft performance, including weight and balance
  • Previous aviation experience
  • Ability to analyze data and provide accurate and reliable advice
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Secondary School and additional training/courses in aircraft performance
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation (highly desirable)
  • Understanding of CASA rules and regulations pertaining to Air Transport operations and aerodromes (desirable)
