About the Role:

The Deputy Manager, Flight Operations will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our helicopter fleet, while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate flight operations, including scheduling, crew management, and aircraft maintenance.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Collaborate with the Australian management team and global flight operations team to ensure business leadership and overall management of CHC APAC Flight operations and training.
  • Ensure that all CHC aviation operations meet the safety and service delivery standards expected by regulators and internal and external customers.
  • Maintain a high standard of operational excellence, with a focus on promoting a Just Culture that supports a continuous process of improvement.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Australian ATPL (H) and with experience as an offshore and/or SAR pilot.
  • Post graduate qualifications in Management or similar is advantageous.
  • Rated on multiple types presently operating by CHC Australia is preferred.
  • Meet CASA requirements for CASA Head of Flying Operations / Chief Pilot.
  • Must be IOGP compliant for Captain.
  • Must hold a command helicopter instrument rating with an Instructor and/or examiner rating on one or more of CHC AUS active types.
  • Effective leadership skills with the ability to mentor and drive team performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
  • Excellent Customer engagement skills.
  • Demonstrable experience with operational, commercial and budget planning processes to support business objectives.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in safety, quality assurance and risk management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple demands, in a high volume, rapidly changing environment.
  • Must be an ambassador and advocate of CHC Company values of Accountability, Collaboration, Care, Integrity and Excellence.
