About the Position
In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Business Development Manager for International Freight Management. This full-time position is focused on expanding Northline's International Freight operations through both established and prospective customer sales channels. You will collaborate closely with the IFM and broader Sales teams, leveraging existing Sales representatives to identify and capitalize on International Freight opportunities within their customer and prospect portfolios, while also managing your own client base and sales pipeline.
Your Responsibilities Include
- Identifying and cultivating new business opportunities in the international market;
- Managing and enhancing a portfolio of Northline accounts;
- Achieving and surpassing sales targets and key performance indicators, including customer satisfaction and retention;
- Formulating innovative sales strategies to propel business growth;
- Analyzing accounts within your portfolio to gain insights into customer challenges;
- Providing essential information and training to customers within your portfolio;
- Monitoring and reporting on competitor activities and industry trends.
Qualifications for Consideration
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of establishing and nurturing key relationships in a sales environment. A solid understanding of the International Freight industry is crucial, along with experience in negotiations with both customers and shipping agents. Familiarity with the logistics and warehousing sectors is highly desirable.
Key skills include:
- Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of the International Freight marketplace;
- Ability to deliver service-oriented solutions to customer challenges;
- Advanced negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution skills;
- Self-motivation and resilience, demonstrated by a history of meeting sales targets;
- Exceptional presentation skills, capable of delivering impactful proposals to diverse audiences;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with CRM software.
