Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced AWS Database Administration Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database administration, including experience with AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Aurora, MongoDB, and Amazon DocumentDB.

About the Role: As an AWS Database Administration Specialist, you will be responsible for managing databases using AWS RDS, designing high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) topologies, implementing security best practices, and administering Linux systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Management: Design, implement, and manage databases using AWS RDS with support for various database engines.
  • Networking Knowledge: Have a solid understanding of networking concepts, including OSI model, IP, TCP, UDP, DNS, and HTTP.
  • Language Fluency: Excellent language fluency in Mandarin is required.
  • Database Administration: Experience in database administration, SQL, optimization, and troubleshooting in relational databases.

Requirements:

  • Excellent Language Fluency: Excellent language fluency in Mandarin.
  • Database Administration Experience: Experience in database administration, Structured Query Language (SQL), performing basic optimization and general troubleshooting in any relational database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
  • HA & DR Topologies: Knowledge of HA & DR topologies for databases.
  • Security Best Practices: Understanding of security best practices.
  • Linux Administration: Linux administration and unix shell script expertise.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 based on industry standards and location.
