About the Role
The Senior Claims Specialist will play a critical role in managing a case load and implementing interventions to achieve optimal recovery and return to work outcomes for injured workers.
As a seasoned claims professional, you will apply your advanced knowledge of claims management, injury, and return to work strategies to deliver exceptional results.
You will work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement tailored solutions, leveraging your expertise in the Victorian workers' compensation scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a complex case load, applying strategic and innovative approaches to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Develop and implement claims strategies, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver timely and effective interventions.
- Provide guidance and support to claims teams, interpreting complex claims scenarios and developing strategies to deliver successful return to work outcomes.
- Lead and deliver cohort-based claims strategies, driving results and improving outcomes for injured workers.
- Take on lead claims management responsibility for high-profile and complex cases.
About You
- You possess a strong background in claims management, with a deep understanding of the Victorian workers' compensation scheme.
- You have excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively.
- You are a strategic thinker, able to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex problems.
- You are a collaborative team player, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Required Expertise
- Significant experience in claims management, with a strong understanding of the Victorian workers' compensation scheme.
- Knowledge of medical and paramedical terminology and procedures, including forms of treatment applicable to injuries.
- Strong working knowledge of the Workplace Injury and Rehabilitation Act 2015 and associated regulations.
