Cardiac Cath Lab Interventional Radiology Technologist

As a key member of the Cardiac Cath Lab team, you will be responsible for performing advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing patients and equipment for procedures by preparing sites of entry, draping patients, arranging sterilized instruments and catheters, and calibrating and setting up pressure transducers and tubing.
  • Ensuring that all x-ray images are of good quality and x-ray related equipment for procedures are maintained.
  • Scrubs during procedures, assists physicians in maneuvering catheters, and monitors and records hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data by operating hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Participates in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Assists in transporting patients to nursing units.
  • Prepares procedure rooms by ensuring adequate stock is available.

Requirements include an Associate degree in Radiology or completion of a certification program in Radiography. Current ARRT (R) licensure and state license as a Radiologic Technologist are also required.
